As part of a group exhibition of work by six Artists-in-Residents at the New River Inn museum at History Fort Lauderdale, Stephanie McMillan will present 30 digital drawings of local plants and wildlife, created with affection in her colorful and charming signature style.
Since October, she has been placing free prints of these drawings around the Fort Lauderdale area for people to find and take home. She will continue to do this through September 2023, until she has distributed 300 free prints of at least 50 different plants and creatures. This exhibit is an opportunity to see larger versions of the first 30 drawings all at once.
A coloring book with line art of these drawings will also debut at the opening reception, and will be available for sale throughout the exhibition.
Pages from the book will be available for free coloring at all times during the exhibit. Bring friends and family for a fun and relaxing activity. You can either take your coloring pages home, or hang them in the museum to become part of the exhibit.
Join all six artists for the opening and closing receptions, check out everyone’s work, and enjoy refreshments in the company of other art lovers.
Stephanie’s portion of the group show is made possible with support from the Broward County Cultural Division.
